The Field Trip Kids Actually Beg to Repeat: Planning a Class Trip to Jellystone Park West Georgia

Every teacher knows the difference between a field trip students tolerate and one they talk about for the rest of the semester. If your group is within an hour of Bremen, GA, we would like to make the case for the second kind.

Jellystone Park West Georgia hosts field trips for schools, day cares, and homeschool co-ops all year long. We are just under an hour west of Atlanta, right off I-20 at U.S. Hwy 27, which makes us an easy morning drive for groups from Carrollton, Villa Rica, Douglasville, Dallas, Temple, Tallapoosa, and even nearby east Alabama towns. Here is everything you need to plan your visit.

Two Passes, One Simple Choice

We keep field trip planning easy with two per-student pass options. Pick the one that fits your budget, your group, and the season.

Adventure Pass: $5 per student

Available year-round, the Adventure Pass covers a full morning of dry-land fun:

  • Jump Pad
  • Hey Hey Hey Wagon Ride
  • Mini Golf
  • Gaga Ball
  • Playground
  • Paper Craft
  • Bear Interaction with Yogi Bear himself

This is the go-to option from November through March, and a great pick any time of year for groups that want maximum activity without swimsuits and towels on the packing list.

Aquatic Pass: $10 per student

From April through October, the Aquatic Pass includes everything in the Adventure Pass plus full access to our water attractions:

  • The Cindy Bear Pool
  • Yogi Bear Pool
  • Multi-level Splash Pad
  • Water Slides
  • Yogi Bear Water Zone

For warm-weather trips, this is the one that turns an ordinary school outing into the highlight of the year.

Pricing is per student, and chaperone and teacher rates are available when you book.

When Field Trips Run

Field trips are offered Monday through Thursday in a three-hour window. Choose the slot that works best for your schedule:

  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Morning slots mean students arrive fresh, burn plenty of energy, and still get back in time for afternoon dismissal or nap time. Buses beat the traffic both ways.

Why Teachers and Chaperones Love It Here

A field trip only works if the adults can breathe, too. Our 200-acre, gated campground gives teachers and chaperones wide-open sightlines and a contained space for supervision. Activities are grouped so rotating small groups through stations is simple, and the structure of a three-hour window keeps the day focused.

Students get something screens cannot offer: real movement, teamwork on the mini golf course and gaga ball court, a hands-on paper craft, and a face-to-face meeting with a certain picnic-basket enthusiast. It is active, social, and outdoors, which is exactly what most groups need by midweek.
